It’s always great fun to play covers, especially of the tunes and artists that have inspired us along the way… the legendary Paul Simon and his epic Graceland album is definitively one of those! Released in 1986, it was a defining album which introduced the sublime sounds of South African Townhip Music & Mbaqanga to a wider audience around the world. Many criticized him, but time has proven that it’s all about building bridges and coming together as one human race. What a beautiful musical path and legacy is still being built to this day by the likes of Ray Phiri, Bakithi Kumalo, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many more…
